Hello~
Since it's Friday, here's a restaurant review-y post. I went to a Korean-style pizza and chicken place called Joy Pizza N Joy Chicken. This place has changed there names quite a few times; they used to be known as Love Letter Pizza & Chicken, as well as Cheogajip among the Koreans. I'm not sure why the name changed.. maybe the owners changed?
Anyways, they have a variety of pizzas as well as Korean fried and marinated chicken. The prices are reasonable in my opinion, and if you go during the day, you can get their lunch special which includes a drink and fries. The food tastes really good as well! I think it's the closest you can get to Korean-style fried chicken and pizza.
Not the best lighting, but still, the food was really good!
My friend and I got the Sweet Potato Pizza and half-fried half-marinated popcorn chicken.
Of course, cabbage salad and pickled white radish are complimentary.
I think the salad is pretty much chopped cabbage with a dressing that tastes like mayo, ketchup, and hot sauce combined, as well as some canned corn. Don't worry: it tastes a lot better than it sounds!
Korean-style pizza is much sweeter than typical Western-style pizza in my opinion. Even if you took out the sweet potatoes, there is a lingering sweet taste in the cheese/toppings themselves.
We ordered the non-spicy marinated chicken, and it was really good! Fried is good as well. It all depends on what you prefer.
'Til next time!
